New Members Sworn In

Turkey Trot Awards

The Round Top Cannoneers

The Round Top Cannoneers Corps, who are one of  the recipients of the funds generated by the Turkey Trot, kicked off the Round Top fourth of July Parade with an impressive (and loud!) firing of the cannon. The cannon is fired on July 4th and Texas Independence Day. 


Scholarship Award Winner

The Round Top Lions Club awarded a scholarship to Joshua to Bellue to attend the Texas State Technical College in Waco. Joshua is a Round Top-Carmine 2025 graduate.

Food Drive

2024

Round Top Lions Club bi-monthly meeting at Poppi Burger.

The Round Top Lions club and the Round Top Family Library's Junior Master Gardeners teamed up for a February food drive. 

At their January 9th meeting, Lion 2-S5 District Governor Jane Istre and Lion Zone 2B Chairman Dale Throckmorton visited the Round Top Lions Club. Lions Barnell Albers, Dale Throckmorton, Jane Istre, Tricia Blakistone, Gary Pior, Pam Langford, Lenny Dalton, Ed Ellis, and David Smith were in attendance. 

The Round Top Lions Club put the American and Texas flags around the Round Top Courthouse in honor of Texas Independence Day. Pictured are David Smith, Gary Pior, Jerry Henkel, Susan Weyand, and Ed Ellis.

On April 17th members of the Lions Club placed Texas and American flags around Round Top's historic courthouse.

2023

The Round Top Lions Club presents the BIG  CHECK to recipients of their annual Turkey Trot.  Pictured are Arts for Rural Texas, Camp  Shakespeare at Winedale, CASA Fayette County, Mini Horse Helpers, Round Top Carmine Education Foundation, Round Top Family Library and The Red Door Fund for Mental Health.

Round Top Lions Club is collected prescription glasses, sunglasses, reading glasses and cases at the Round Top Family Library. These items went to people who live in low and middle income countries who lack basic eye care services.

Round Top Lions Club accepted any unexpired canned goods or non-perishable food items as part of their 2023 spring food drive. All donations went to to AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange.

2018

The Round Top Lions Club presented ARTS with an $800 donation towards their Round Top/Carmine children's programs including ARTS After School, Fine Art Assemblies, and Summer Art Camps.
